Goddard Engineering is a small, primarily family business, based in the town of Brecon, South Wales in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
We have been established since 1980 and have been building stainless steel boilers for domestic heating and cookers since 1981, this becoming a speciality.
The founder Ralph was trained by his father from school in General Engineering and Fabrication with welding as a core skill.
He started his own business as a chassis welding specialist and quickly got drawn into the whole spectrum of car repairs and modification, hence the classic restoration.
We are now an all round engineering repair and fabrication shop with welding still the core skill – welding ally, cast iron, stainless steel and mild steel.
We have a good range of equipment – a 100 ton folder, a 3m x 6mm guillotine and much more. We also have a substantial range of steel sheet and sections in stock.
We still specialize in rebuilding rusty cars, from a patch on the exhaust to an extensive rebuild.
We have also come to specialize in stainless steel boilers for domestic heating, repairing damaged alloy car wheel rims and alloy sumps, removing car locking wheel nuts and have developed and manufacture the bin mobile.
We aim to be helpful, reliable, versatile and we still enjoy a challenge.
* We have, and will continue to experiment with different grades of stainless steel, but we will only use grades that have a superior corrosion resistance to grade 316. To date the two we have tried have been magnetic, unlike 316.
